Developer Terms of Service

This is a working draft for the developer-platform preview. It will be replaced by a legally reviewed agreement before general availability. Acceptance during the preview is required to use the developer realm and sandbox provisioner, but the final terms may change.

These terms govern your use of the Tango Vision developer platform — the developer identity realm, the SDK (@tv/extension-sdk), the documentation site, and the on-demand sandbox provisioner (collectively, the "Developer Services"). They do not govern production use of the Tango Vision platform by building tenants, which is covered by separate commercial agreements.

By creating a developer account or accepting these terms in the sign-in flow, you agree to them.

1. Your account

• You provide an accurate email address and keep your credentials confidential. You're responsible for activity under your account.
• One person or organization per account. Don't share accounts.
• We may suspend accounts that abuse the Developer Services or violate these terms.

2. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Developer Services to attack, probe, or degrade Tango Vision infrastructure or other tenants' data.
• Attempt to reach production building-tenant data through developer credentials. The developer realm is isolated by design; circumventing that isolation is prohibited.
• Resell, sublicense, or expose your sandbox API keys to third parties.
• Exceed published sandbox quotas through automation intended to evade them.

3. Sandboxes

• Sandboxes are ephemeral and non-production. They expire on their TTL and may be reset or removed at any time. Don't store anything you can't regenerate.
• Seed data in a sandbox is synthetic. It does not represent any real building, tenant, or person.
• We provide sandboxes "as is", without uptime or data-durability guarantees, during the preview.

4. Your modules

• You retain all rights to the module code you write. These terms grant Tango Vision no ownership of your modules.
• You're responsible for ensuring your module and its dependencies are appropriately licensed. The platform's open-source core is permissively licensed; modules you distribute through the marketplace are subject to the separate marketplace agreement (forthcoming).
• You grant Tango Vision the limited right to load and execute your module within sandboxes and, if you submit it for review, to inspect it for security and contract compliance.

5. The SDK and APIs

• The SDK follows the published stability policy. Surfaces marked unstable may change without a major version bump.
• API keys authenticate you to the sandbox provisioner. Treat them as secrets. Report a leaked key to developers@tango.vision so we can revoke it.

6. Privacy

• We process your account email to operate the developer realm (sign-in, verification, password reset) and to contact you about the developer platform. We don't sell it.
• Sandbox and API-key activity is logged for security and abuse prevention.

7. Changes and termination

• We may update these terms; material changes will be surfaced in the sign-in flow for re-acceptance.
• You can stop using the Developer Services at any time. We may end the preview, or your access to it, with reasonable notice.

8. Disclaimer

The Developer Services are provided for development and evaluation during the preview, without warranties of any kind. To the extent permitted by law, Tango Vision isn't liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from preview use.
